Peregrine Falcon: female in Woburn

September 15, 2016 in Peregrine Falcon Woburn

_w7i4184-001The female has taken a liking to a regular perch atop a utility pole in the SW corner of the overall parking lot.  She likes to just sit and watch with a good view of the nest ledge in the distance.  This was a stunning morning with cobble blue skies, brilliant sunshine and light winds.  She is easy to identify from her leg bands but also from her lateral chest barring which still shows as much thicker than the males chest barring!
