Peregrine looping around Clock Tower

December 13, 2011 in On the Clock Tower

Made late afternoon visit to the west side of the clock tower.  Observation post was on South Canal St. just west of entrance to Ideal Box Company and gate into back entrance for New Balance.  Skies were clear with light winds out of northeast and warm around 47F.

One adult was perched on the ledge diagonally above and to the left of the west face of clock tower.  It departed the ledge and flew in a northwesterly direction in a large loop.  The Peregrine then returned to the NW corner to ledge diagonally below and to the left of the west face of clock tower, then departed again heading NW towards the Merrimack River.
